SUMMER READING CLUB
WINDING DOWN
SUMMER IS GOING BY FAST!
And with summer's end comes the last days of the
Annual Summer Reading Club
This year's theme is
CATCH THE READING BUG AT YOUR LIBRARY!
Registration began on
Monday, June 30
and ended on Saturday, August 2.
All children in grades K - 6 are who joined the club this summer
Have until closing time on Saturday, August 23 to report on your books.
All reading club members
who read & report on at least 10 books this summer
will be invited to a very special
MEMBERS ONLY party
to be held on
Thursday, August 28
with entertainment by
Melvin the Magnificent
(and his magic bunny, Hocus Pocus)
DEBBY'S AUGUST CRAFTS
Debby VanGuilder will be conducting
two sessions of her SUMMER CRAFTS in August.
Leading off the library's August sessions of
WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS:
The dates for the August programs are
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 6 @ 2 o'clock
&
SATURDAY, AUGUST 9 @ 10
MAKE A "SILLY SNAIL " out of common objects!!!
All children aged 4 years and up are welcome.
Parents are asked to remain with younger children to help them with the craft.
Preregistration is required.
Have you thought of adopting a book at the library this year?
Now in our 7th year, ADOPT-A-BOOK continues to be very popular.
Just come in and look over our Wish List
Pick out a book you'd like to see added to our collection
All you have to do it pay for the book
We will put a Memorial Plate in the book in memory of your loved one
AND: YOU GET TO READ THE BOOK FIRST!

(This program will be repeated at 10 AM on Sat., August 8)
AUGUST 13: Making Bug Houses
Join the people from Up Yonda Farms in making a bug house for your back yard.
Because of limited space & supplies, pre-registration for all programs is highly recommended!
