Wending your way
to the library

DIRECTIONS:

The Hudson Falls Free library is located at 220 MAIN STREET in the village of Hudson Falls. Main Street is also designated as U.S. Route 4.

The library is a red brick building with white pillars in front. The building itself has a wide expanse of lawn in front, and is set back from the road. It is situated at the corner of Main & Clark Streets, next door to the village offices which also contain the Hudson Falls police & fire departments. Directly across the street is the Methodist church.

From the South:
Follow route 4 right to the library. If you are on the Adirondack Northway, take exit 17N. Go to the first red light & turn right onto route 197. Follow 197 to the end (approximately 6 miles) into Fort Edward. The end will be at a traffic signal at route 197 & route 4. A Stewart's Shoppe will be on your left. Turn left onto route 4 and follow route 4 through Fort Edward into Hudson Falls. Once in Hudson Falls, go through the business district and past the park (a roundabout in the business district). The library is located 1 1/2 blocks north of the park on the right hand side, next to the village offices.

From the North:
Follow route 4 right to the library. If you are on the Adirondack Northway, take exit 19 (at the Aviation Mall, Queensbury). Go past the mall and through 2 traffic signals. You are now on Quaker Road. Follow Quaker Road to its end (approximately 5 miles) and at the light, turn left onto route 254. This will eventually become River Street in Hudson Falls. Follow River Street past the scenic Hudson Falls trash burning plant (on your right) and up River Street hill. At the top of the hill you will come to the park. You must bear right (and then left), going around the park. The traffic is one way around the park. Don't forget to go around the park and head north. The library is situated 1 1/2 blocks north of the park on the right hand side, next to the village offices.
