Join us on July 17 and 18 for our summer Book Sale, Bake Sale, and Raffle! Drop in any time between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday or between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday to grab books, movies, music, puzzles, baked goods, and to enter to win one of our many raffle baskets. Our Friends group is busy preparing for an exciting weekend, and we cannot wait to see you there!
PLEASE NOTE: The Friends will be accepting donations of materials for the sale through Wednesday, June 17th, but they will not be accepting donations starting Thursday, June 18th. This temporary pause will allow the Friends group to sort and organize materials for the sale on July 17 & 18. Donations will be accepted again starting July 20th. Thank you for your generosity and continued support of our library!

Popcorn Reading: Wednesdays, July 8th through August 5th from 11:00am-12:30pm. Popcorn…You! Join us for an opportunity to catch up on your summer reading and eat some delicious popcorn. Children and teens of all ages are welcome. Drop in. No sign-up required.
Bunnies and Books: Thursdays, July 9th and 23rd and August 6th and 20th from 2:00-3:00pm. Join us at the Hudson Falls Free Library for a story-time and then for an opportunity to learn more about how to take care of and pet bunnies from Hop on Home, a local rabbit rescue! Children and teens of all ages are welcome. Drop in. No sign-up required, although attendance will be limited.
Summer LEGO-Palooza: Fridays, July 10th, 24th and August 7th from 11:00am-12:30pm. We will have LEGO challenges to solve! Join us for Wind Racers, LEGO Mazes, and more. Children and teens of all ages are welcome. Drop in. No sign-up required.
Pre-Teen+ Junk Journal Guild:Saturdays, July 11th and August 8 at 10:45-12:00pm. A guild is defined as “an association of people with similar interests or pursuits.” Due to the popularity of our Pre-Teen+ activity in May, we are introducing a new monthly-ish event. Join us here at the library to meet other lovers of papercraft. Middle schoolers and high schoolers are invited to come make their own Junk Journals!
Pre-Teen+ Stitch Pets: Saturday, July 25th from 10:45am-12:00pm. Middle schoolers and high schoolers are invited to learn some simple sewing and make their own little fabric friends! Join us for some crafty fun.
I Scream for (Homemade) Ice Cream: Friday July 31st from 11:00am-12:30pm and 2:00-3:30pm. Aaaah! Ice cream! Stop by the library to learn how to make ice cream in a Ziploc bag. Learn all about the cool chemical reaction and eat your creation. Children and teens of all ages are welcome. Drop in. No sign-up required, although supplies may be limited.
STEAM Week: August 8th-16th is National Science Week in Australia, which is an opportunity to celebrate “the scientific foundation for all our innovative breakthroughs. It was initiated by the Australian government, which organizes their event every August, to celebrate the impact of science, engineering, math, and technology on the world, as well as recognize the contributions of Australian scientists.” We decided to host our own Science week as well with every day of the week highlighting a different part of the STEAM methodology! Children and teens of all ages are welcome. Drop in. No sign-up required.
